Contact your local Better Business Association to see if any complaints against the company have been logged. If you question it, call your credit card company and see if Home Pointe has been in contact with them and if a payment plan has been worked out.

What’s the best way to go about fixing my credit?

I have a bunch of random things on my credit from my when I was under 20. I’m now 25 and trying to fix what my young age messed up. I’m having trouble finding what I owe and who I owe it to. My credit report didn’t help much as I do not know exactly what to do next. Any advise would be helpful! Thanks alot everyone.

Making payments on accounts over 5 years inactive will not help your credit score and will restart the clock for the time it remains on your credit report (7.5 years) and the statute of limitations (SOL, the time collectors have to legally win a lawsuit against you). The SOL is different in each state, so look online to see if the time has passed.
